AUA Young Urologists Forum: Leadership Roundtable "This hour-long session, with lunch included, will include a panel of leaders in DoD urology to discuss the issues in an open forum for urologists usually less than ten years out from training regarding the topics of hiring, firing, capital acquisition, and workload reporting, and the other issues that can be relevant to the young urologist who is presented with significant responsibility early in their career as they develop in their position of service or departmental leadership."

Annual Off-Site Dinner at The Old Exchange Building

Description: The Old Exchange Building is a National Historic Landmark and the third most historic building in the United States and in 1776 South Carolina’s independence from the Crown was declared from the front steps of this building. George Washington was entertained several times here during his tour of the South in 1791 and the Dungeon held famous patriots and pirates alike including Stede Bonnet, “The Gentleman Pirate.” During the dinner costumed guides will offer tours of the dungeon and the building.

Fort Sumter Tour & Harbor Cruise

Description: On April 12, 1861, Fort Sumter was occupied by Union Troops who refused to vacate the Fort as demanded by the Confederates. All negotiations finally failed and Confederate batteries in the Charleston Harbor commenced a massive bombardment of Fort Sumter, and America’s greatest moment of conflict, the “War Between the States” began. Today the Fort boasts an excellent museum containing priceless exhibits and Historians with the National Park Service conduct interesting and informative tours. Please note that the group will take a short boat ride to Fort Sumter.

Old Charleston Ghost Tour

Description: Join Mike Brown, internationally acclaimed tour guide and historian for Charleston's most exclusive ghost tour. Mike is the city's most experienced ghost tour guide and has spent over a decade researching its haunted places and training his colleagues. Hear ghost stories unavailable on any other tour. This walk visits the city's most haunted graveyards, alleys and other sites. Mike has been featured on the Home & Garden Channel, BBC and SCETV.

Effective October 1, 2011 the lodging per diem rate in Charleston, South Carolina has increased from $132.00 per night to $137.00 per night. The hotel has reserved the right to change the prevailing U.S. government prescribed per diem in effect at the time of the meeting.
Room Rate
SGSU has reserved a block of rooms at the Charleston Marriott at a discounted rate of $132.00 per night not inclusive of state and local taxes (currently 12.5% plus a $1.00 destination tax). To receive the SGSU group rate, please be sure to reference the SGSU 2012 Annual Meeting. Please note that the SGSU group rate will be available three (3) days prior to 1/14/12 and three (3) days post 1/19/12 based on availability.

Cut-Off Date
The cut-off date to receive the discounted room rate for the 59 th Annual Kimbrough Meeting is Monday, December 19, 2011. The block may sell out prior to this date, therefore attendees are strongly encouraged to make their reservations early.
Hotel Deposit & Cancellation Policy
All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. If the reservation is guaranteed on a credit card, a first night’s guestroom and tax charge per guest room will be billed immediately to the cardholders account. Cancellations can be made without penalty up to 24-hours prior to the attendees’ scheduled arrival date. The late cancellation fee is one night room and tax.
Early Departure Fee
An early departure fee may be charged if a guest checks out of the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date without having notified the hotel about the change. To avoid this fee, please notify the hotel by 12:00 midnight the day after checking-in about your new departure date.

Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy
Registration refund requests must be submitted in writing to the SGSU Executive Office by December 30, 2011 . All refund requests will be subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be made after December 30, 2011.
