Center for Urologic Care of Berks County, a well established, independent six physician urology practice is seeking BC/BE urologist to participate in the full range of urologic care, including laproscopic and robotic assisted laproscopic surgery. Anticipated start date would be in July 2011.

The practice is very diversified and includes a physician owned, fully accredited ambulatory surgery center which features three operating rooms and one urodynamic suite. The surgery center has imaging and laser capabilities and is equipped for Prostiva, prostate brachytherapy and ESWL. The practice also features an accredited, on-site imaging center with a six slice CT scanner and diagnostic radiologic equipment as well as a complete pathology lab with two on-site pathologists. The opportunity for full partnership in the practice and related real estate corporation is available.

We are centered in Berks County, Pennsylvania, an area of over 400,000 people situated 50 miles west of Philadelphia and 125 from New York City. Our practice is located in suburban Wyomissing, west of the city of Reading and is associated with a large community hospital, The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. This facility features a regional cancer center, a daVinci robotic surgical system and a Level II trauma center.

The area contains the best of rural, urban and suburban communities and living. The county features excellent schools including the Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School which was ranked in Newsweek’s Top Public High Schools in 2010 and 2006-2008. Nearby are the prestigious Lancaster Country Day School and The Hill School in Pottstown. The 8,000 seat Sovereign Center is located in Reading and hosts some of the world’s most famous musical acts. The widely acclaimed Berks Jazz Fest is held each spring throughout Berks County. For sports fans, there are the Reading Phillies, the ECHL Reading Royals and the IFL Reading Express indoor arena football team. For shopping enthusiasts, the area features the VF Outlet Village, several malls and a Cabela’s superstore. In 2009, our community was ranked seventh in the nation by BusinessWeek in their “Most Affordable Places to Retire” list.
